own home. >> tonight, we're learning the child's body was discovered alone washings gun by her side. good evening, everyone, i'm ukee washington. >> i'm jessica dean, greg argos is live in north philadelphia, and greg, you spoke to a woman who rushed to try and help this little girl. that woman at nearby clinic, happened to step outside, half block from the home where this girl was shot. she heard yelling and she ran over that is when she saw the four year old with a bullet wounds in the right eye. >> girl was gasping for air. >> sites and sounds, marge i says, she will never be able to forget. seconds before, around 12:30 in the afternoon, stepped out of this family health center came outside just to get air. >> when she heard a woman screaming. >> there was nobody out here but me, i ran to her, like she was screaming her lungs out. and knocking on doors, and nobody would come out. >> i toll her what happened. she said got shot, the kids

were playing upstairs. and next thing you know she said she fawn her baby laying on the floor like that. >> in that mother's arms there is four year old girl, shot in the right eye, she tried getting help, even having the clinic's give aid. >> she was like save my baby, please, save my baby. that's all in my minds. >> after that child rushed to hahnemann university hospital, she died, from her injuries have you ruled it out -- >> i haven't ruled out anything. we know we have a four year old that's dead. and again, that's something that tugs at your heart when you do this. >> philadelphia detective spent most of the afternoon at this home and recovered a weapon. >> weapon on location, against, it will be part of the process in earl diagnose who the gun belongs to, if it is a legal gun, all every those pieces that far puzzle will be a part of that investigation. >> and now, face difficult task of figuring out what led up to the young girl's death. >> it is just crazy, just crazy, a shame, a little angel

>> traffic situation, police have not made any arrests, the mother and male who live inside the home are being questioned by police, also, the disturbing details we've confirmed through police sources that four year old girl was found once again alone, in a narrow closet, inside that house, with a handgun at her side. we're live here in north philadelphia, greg argos, cbs-3, "eyewitness news". >> griggs greg, thanks so much. >> indicted three men and woman in connection with wilmington high school student. fifteen year old brandon was shot as he walk home from school, may 19th. prosecutors say, kavon harris dickerson, march it smith, de mant a taylor were gang members and killed brandon as a violent act by the gang. a wilmington woman, natasha peers, on weapons and conspiracy charges. >> it is the day sixers nation has been waiting for for 20 years, for the first time since 1996, philadelphia has the first overall pick in the

>> works both ways, you know, you look at a kid, you think about the talent that he has, and the projection associated with him, you know, he's got tuna whole lot of stuff out, just focus on this being a first step in terms of ac professional. you go from amateur to professional, it is a huge leap, but it has got to be done with baby steps. and i think that's pretty much what i would say to him. >> one thing about him, he doesn't shoot the ball whole lot. is that something that can be learned? because in college we didn't see it. only made 13-point shot all year. >> ya, i think i only made one in college, too. >> would you say that turned out okay for you? >> i would say it turned out okay. he does have nba skills in terms of rebounding the ball, in terms of passing the ball, in terms of court awareness, and in terms of being long and defensively being able to

gentlemen, appreciate t other news tonight, tonight mom guy are you county home inspector accused of cheating over 100 home buyers, inch sherlock home services involved with theft. took nearly $20,000 from home buyers, in seven counties, for tests he never completed n some cases prosecutors say michaelski was never qualified to perform the tests, anyone who contracted with sherlock holmes, inspection services, is asked to call montgomery county detective. pennsylvania congressman chaka fattah resigns his house seat effective immediately. it comes two days after his conviction on charges every racketeering, fraud, and money laundering. yesterday, fattah announced plans to step down on october 3rd. that is the day before he is scheduled for sentencing, but republicans wanted him out of office immediately. the democrats sent this letter to congressional leadership saying, quote, out of respect for the entire house leadership, and so as not to cause a distraction, from the house's work, for the people i have changed my effective

storm scan3, showing the area of showers and storms, extending around williamsport, central pennsylvania, and i80, right on down, into lancaster county at the moment. and these storms are poised to move through chester county first, and then you can see hour they're kind of developing little bit further to the north in the last few frames of radar there. so we can't rule out a shower or thunderstorm getting into the city, probably, within the next half hour to hour. this is what we are looking at right here. few scattered showers burlington, ocean county, head back to the west, you can see, some pretty heavy downpours here, just starting to move along the turnpike, right into chester county at the moment, you can see the dark red shading indicating where the heaviest rain s and these are on a projectory to move right towards the city or possibly just off to the south new castle delaware, chester, could be seeing these storms, off to the south over west virginia, virginia pretty nasty storms, tornado watches severe thunderstorm watches in

effect at the moment. so, that's the good news for us severe weather missing us, this cell, moves again over northern delaware, the next couple of hours, by 7:00 rain possibly getting into the city, tracking scattered showers, storms, through the first part of tonight before it eventually will winds down, later tonight, into the overnight hours. so, this evening, scattered showers, thunderstorm. brief downpours with any thunderstorm gusty winds, even some small pea-size hail could not be ruled out with the storms, and cloud to grounds lightning has been reported with this area of thunderstorms moving in. so, we're not out of the woods just yet, many areas north of philadelphia, may escape without any rain this evening. and tonight, but specially if you're in this area, chester, delaware county, new castle county, delaware, eventually south jersey watch for the showers and storms, they're headed your way within the next hour or two. temperatures right now, warm, and steamy, 83 in philly right now, 08 in reading, temps dropped off little bit from the daytime highs thanks to the clouds moving in, but you can see, it is steam which dew point in the mid to upper 60s, and even 70s, in some

spots. overnight showers, 66 for the low. tomorrow sunny, front hung off to the south, down the shore partly sunny, 78, saturday, sunday, what a weekends, look booing out full, if you are on the fence to go to the shore or not this weekend, i say go. it will be beautiful. if you have a place to crash, you should be there this weekend. if you are in the city looks great, too. mid 80s, not too humid, sunshine both days, and then monday, looking good, as well. >> road trip says kate. >> let's go. >> still to come, the shocking way a local professor is cuts the fast out of
